  3. ABOUT THE DEMOS:
  4. --------------------
  5. Almost all of these demos were designed for Windows 95, in addition most require DIRECTX to be installed.
  6.  
  7. DIRECTX 5.2 can be found in D:\DIRECTX52\ (where D: is your CDROM drive). Run the program DX5ENG.EXE.  NOTE: DirectX runs under the Windows 95 operating system.
  8.  
  9. Occasionally we have demos that will run directly from the CDROM, This may not always be convenient and in most cases you can copy the entire directory structure of the game to your hard drive if desired.  Note that some games require or insist that they be run from the CD to operate correctly.

  14. Many of these demos require 3Dfx hardware to function properly.

  20. Before installing ZORK 1 or ZORK 2, make sure you specify a path other than C:\WINDOWS\DESKTOP - which is the default installation directory.  A better path example for installation might be; C:\ZORK1 and C:\ZORK2.
